Introduction to HTML

This course offers a training course on HTML. It is presented to whoever desires to learn more about programming language of websites and acquiring experience in designing in accordance with HTML.

HTML is the markup language used in creating and designing web pages and internet websites. It is considered one of the oldest languages and the most widely used in designing web pages. HTML is the building structure of the web page; it gives the internet browser a complete description of how contents are shown. It demonstrated headings, paragraphs…etc. Concerning the history of HTML, in 1980, the physicist Tim Berners-Lee, a contractor at CERN, proposed and prototyped a system for CERN researchers to use and share documents. Then, in 1989, Berners-Lee wrote a memo proposing an Internet-based hypertext system.

He specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software in late 1990. In this sence, the first publicly available description of HTML was a document called "HTML Tags", first mentioned on the Internet by Tim Berners-Lee in late 1991. It describes 18 elements comprising the initial, relatively simple design of HTML. That is why if you want to create a website; there is no other way except using HTML, even if you use a special program for creating websites, like DreamWeaver. Your knowledge of HTML will help you create better websites as it is easy to be learnt, you can learn how to create your own personal website in just few sessions.

Information Security (IS) is the system used to secure the data transmitted via networks. In the technological development age and the prevailing different means of information storage and exchange; i.e. information transmission on networks and from website to another, it has become important to consider and observe information and data security. Information security is the science applied to provide great and adequate protection of information against any risks which may threaten or damage it through the tools and means required to protect information against internal or external risks. All standards and procedures taken to prevent having access to information by persons who are not allowed to access them through communications are used to ensure the authenticity and correctness of these communications. All techniques used in the world cannot be executed without Information Security (IS).
