Warehouse Design & Layout Optimization Training Course

Two warehouses holding identical inventory can perform completely differently, and the difference usually isn't the staff or the equipment — it's the layout, and whether product flows through the building logically or forces workers to fight the design every shift. Warehouse Design determines the ceiling on operational efficiency before a single order is ever picked, which is exactly why poorly designed facilities struggle to improve no matter how hard the team works. The Warehouse Design and Layout Optimization Training Course, is built for professionals responsible for designing or redesigning warehouse space that genuinely supports efficient operations.

This course treats warehouse design as an engineering and operational discipline, not a matter of fitting in as much racking as physically possible. Participants learn how warehouse layout decisions shape travel time, labor cost, and throughput long before operations even begin, how to select and configure storage systems suited to different product types and velocity, and how efficient picking processes depend directly on layout and slotting decisions made upstream. The course also covers how to design material flow that moves product logically from receiving to shipping, practical strategies for improving productivity through layout rather than just adding labor, and how automation can be integrated into a design without forcing a costly redesign later. Participants leave with a practical framework for designing warehouse space that performs efficiently from day one.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
