Agronomy (ACS) Course

This course offers a Certificate of Agronomy (ACS) Course. It is designed to give a full understanding of modern agronomy and its application in agricultural practices. This course addresses numerous fundamental subjects that include soil science, during which attendees study properties, fertility, and management. Crop production techniques and various crops with planting methods, as well as pest management methods, are considered in this course. The plant physiology module will give a thorough analysis of how plants grow and respond under environmental influences on plant health.

Attendees will acquire knowledge in irrigation systems, managing water resources in a way that will enhance the crop yields. The agricultural economics module of the course touches on market trends, cost management, and policies that affect agriculture. Sustainable agriculture is incorporated to face modern issues like climate change and resource preservation. Agronomy impacts every single person in this world. The food that we eat, the coffee we drink, the ethanol-based gas on which our vehicle runs, the grass present on the golf field, the natural fibers that make up the clothing etc. are all products that we obtain from agronomy. Agronomy is a science that perceives agriculture from a holistic and an integrated perspective. Let us learn about the importance of agronomy in our daily life. This course on Certificate of Agronomy offers attendees with an understanding, to learn the principles and practices that underpin commercial broad acre crop production (agronomy) and develop an ability to interpret and apply information practically, on a farm.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

The objective of Certificate of Agronomy (ACS) Course are:

• Understand the principles of soil science in relation to crop production.

• Apply effective techniques in crop production for diverse agricultural crops.

• Gain insight into plant physiology of how plants respond to various environmental factors.

• Master efficient irrigation systems and water management practices.

• Analyse economic aspects of agriculture through agricultural economics.

• Implement sustainable agriculture practices to meet the new challenges in modern agriculture.

• Develop expertise in weed management, fertilization, and plant breeding.
